So what happened?

The markets were closed for the 4th of July observance day. It is a great day for the U.S., and we salute the people whose sacrifices have made this possible. May this day be a symbol of prosperity, joy, and happiness to all. Happy 4th of July to all of us! From the markets’ perspective, the first semester was an overcome show. Starting the year giving back all the earlier gains, the stock market witnessed unstable moments as uncertainties about interest rates and inflation took place. However, recent record-setting sessions were more than enough to help the three indices recover the gains.

The S&P 500 index advanced by 14.4% during the first semester, followed by the Dow Jones index’s 12.7% increase. Finally, the Nasdaq index returned the lowest gains, increasing by 12.5%.
